O-rings for a good fit: Are you sure about that? If you notice they are on both sides of the input on the bolt... My understanding is that they prevent the gasses from the valve from flowing backwards or blowing forwards and bypassing the hole on the bolt(that leads to the breech).

Then again I may be mistaken!

Bolt force- It's not so much friction as inertia. If that heavy striker still wants to move that bolt's going to be going with it! That's why the delrin concepts I've seen are delrin/steel hybrids, cutting down weight and using the sealing/frictionless possibilities of delrin while still retaining the strength of steel.

However this may not really be a problem, :) We're just tossing ideas around here hoping to help, not an attack or anything.

One more question: You do have plans for the stick o-ring that is used to squeeze against the field strip pin right? I don't remember seeing them in the drawings but this thing won't be too much of a performer without it! ;)
