You're in luck, this is my area of expertise :)

Barrels that fit the F4:
Threads: F4/Griffin or Tippmann Prolite/Procarbing and A-5

Barrel Length:
>8-12" are your most efficient lengths, the first four to six inches are neccessary to propel the paint to your velocity, an inch or two after is still a good use of air and you can extend your length by adding porting. Anything past 12" is wasted air (not more accurate and actually less gas efficient, although quieter).

Bore:
There are two types of paintball bores (as well as several sizes).
-Most 1 piece barrels have a single bore extending the entire length of the barrel: I.E. .689, .691 etc.

-2 piece (aka Stepped bore/combo barrels)have two seperate bores (or even several different sized sleeves). The first half (closest to the gun) is usually stainless steel and fitted to your paint. The second half is usually ported and of a lighter material.

The theory is that the ball will be launched to proper velocity in the first half, and then the second half allows the gas to disperse and quiet/stabilize the ball.

Your best bet is to buy a medium to large bore barrel (to fit the largest varieties of paint) however if you're able to test the barrel out try putting a few of your favorite paintballs through it, if they fit snug but can be blown through (by your lungs) then you have a good paint-barrel match and your performance will be at its peak.

Zero Gravity-
This is just a brand name for the two piece barrel system ACI produces, these are great all around barrels and I have seen many people happy with these.

Personally I use a 12" Custom Products barrel (.689 bore) it shoots great with many types of paint.

Good luck!
Mav
