Most of the group seemed to know what that meant,but at least Zidane wasn't at least isolated for Vivi and Aurie showed to interest either.
"What do you see,Tidus?"Zidane asked,his arms moving in their own type of conversation.
Tidus glanced back at the invisible thing floating in the air.Suddenly,something dark flashed where he was looking,and the whole group,including Tidus jumped,so he must not have seen it coming.But,it was not as small as a bat,so it left more imprint as it quickly lowered and pushed itself off the ground and then landing in a nearby tree,on a thick branch.
"Ha!"a voice said with triumph.A boy about the age of Aurie reached over and put one hand on the tree to lean on his arm and the other on his hip in a familiar cocky position.The hand on his hip,however had some inanimate object,small enough for his fists to cover.
"Hey,how did you see it?"Tidus asked in awe.The boy brought his hand to his face and studied his fists with an even more cocky expression on his face then with his body and he said,"Talent."
The boy then stood up straight in his branch and shoved the object into his khaki poket without thinking any more about it.His left eye scanned the group,for his right was covered with a dark brown bang that would have been black,had one not been able to see the redish color lifting in streaks on his hair when the light hit it right.He was hard to see in the dark,but his expression was clear.
"Ha,you're a funny looking group!I saw this guy back in the forest.I think he was looking for you guys.I thought he had some food,but unfortunatly,he didn't,"the brown hair stray said.
He would have looked a lot like Aurie,except Aurie's hair was shorter and,wow,there clothes were different!This boy apparently like wearing casual cloths and must not have cared if he was a little filthy.But the thing that really throwed him off was his tail.It was just as long as Zidane's but it was just so...bushy!It was a beautiful tail that had been taken care of very well,when it came to grooming.It was a rish dark brown,like the boy's bang that hung over his face,almost black and the brown resembled deep red.
At the mention of a man,Rikku said,"Wakka!"
The boy must have spotted Aurie,because he leaped from the tree,inches from him and began circling him,studying him up and down,deciding if he should go in for the kill or become it's friend.Aurie stood stock still while this strange boy circled him.The boy stoped abrubptly,suprising Aurie.He stared at him coldly,with one shining green eye.Then,a grin flashed across his face and his hand shot out.
"I'm Shep."
