Her nose wrinkled in an almost childlike fashion. In fact, Audrey possessed numerous childlike mannerisms from the way she curled the ends of her dark tresses around her slender fingertips to the way full lips formed a pretty little pout. Without warning, Audrey flicked said knife down the hall and into the doorframe as fingertips slipped a lock of her dark hair behind the slightly barbed tip of an ear.

‘Not either, I’m afraid.’

Laundry was the bestest chore ever. Think about it. One gets to sit around on their ass between loads and it is still considered doing something. Oh yeah… and the detergent and fabric softener smells good too.

‘Because, you are so predictable, and if you weren’t here, my next stop would have been the bars.’

Slowly rising, bare feet moved with poise across the mattress. Toes touching the wood floor once more, Audrey giggled as she reached around the back of her slender neck to unfasten the clasp of the silver chain around her neck. Dangling from the chain was an ancient coin from a civilization long extinct. Pitching the trinket in Zeth’s direction, she moved to the window once more, casting her golden eyes across the cityscape.

‘Oh and towels should be folded in half and then in thirds.’
