But, I still don't think she was a good choice for the role. As for making the story worse, that may not be entirely accurate. I was mad when I wrote that. However, this is a different scenario than the expanding of Irulan in the first one. That choice was made to enhance the overall story and to make up for the lack of her little intro to each chapter. The choice for Wencisia seems like it was simply because they had to have a bigger role for a bigger actress, which would mean that it would have no value to the actual story. But it is a good point that they might want a real "face" for the villains, so I'll buy that.

However, I can't let go of the age thing. Yes, it would be perfectly acceptible to make her older, just not to that extent. She looks some 30 years older. When you factor in melange consumption, that translates to their being born about 120 years apart. Give me a break.

My complaint is that the entire reason for casting her is because she's a known star. They should focus more on getting people who look right for the parts.
