I have an important announcement to make. Later today, I will be closing this forum and opening a new Waltons' forum. This is something I have been planning for quite awhile, but just never did get around to doing anything about it.
I have waited and waited for Voy Forums to add the features that I want in a Message Board, but nothing has been done yet, so I have found a new server which does have mnay new features.
Probably the most important change is that the new forum is a registration-only forum. Anyone will be able to read the forum, but registration is required for posting. When you register, you will choose a username and password, and you will have to provide an email address to have your account activated. You will have the option of hiding your email address from other users, and your email address will never be used for any purpose other than activating your account.
There are many other new features on the new forum that we don't have here, but registration is the most important one, and the one that I have been waiting for here at Voy forums.
I will post the address of the new forum later today. At that time, I will close this forum to new posts, but all the current posts on this forum will remain so that you can read them.
It will take some time to get used to the format of the new forum, but once you have used it for awhile, I think you will like it.
Walton's Set -- Renee, 15:45:46 06/16/08 Mon [3]
I remember seeing the links for these photos on this forum a few years ago. I thought others might want to see them. The first set is of the house and barn. The seccond is the Baldwin's house. Sorry if they've been posted recently.
The Hunt for Sian Barbara Anderson -- Will, 18:59:43 06/13/08 Fri [9]
I have spent awhile trying to find Sian Barbara Allen. I have PMed a guy who knows her daughter through www.imdb.com and I have tried to find her address on search engines like WHite Pages or People Finder, but all charge. I'm sure they have it. If anyone knows anything about her or has access to an address finder please tell me.
The Cloud Burst -- Renee, 11:26:44 06/16/08 Mon [6]
I really liked this episode but it just seemed so out of character for John Boy to sell the meadow. He told Grandpa the land wasn't doing anybody any good except the squirrells (or something to that effect). I just can't imagine him doing it. I know it's only a show but sometimes it's hard as a die-hard fan who "knows" the characters so well to see the inconsistencies. There's other episodes it happens in but this one was a big one.
Anybody else agree? Do you know of any other instances?
Cover of Disc 1 from Season 6 -- Renee, 07:50:19 06/17/08 Tue [5]
Are those modern day tennis shoes I see on Jody's feet? Too funny.....I love finding those little bloopers.

radio interview -- Brenda, 19:12:31 06/16/08 Mon [3]
About a year ago, a radio annouoncer in Tulsa, Oklahoma, by the name of Joe Riddle, contacted me for information about how to get in touch with Earl Hamner. I was able to get the two of them together, and Mr. Riddle did conduct the interview via telephone for broadcast on his radio program. Mr. Riddle then sent me a CD with a sound file of the interview and gave me permission to upload it and share it with other fans. Unfortunately, I was unable to do that at the time.
My internet provider has now increased my storage space, and I have uploaded the interview. It is about 1 hour long. You can download it in just a few minutes with a cable or other broadband connection. I have no idea how long it would take to download it if you have dial-up.

A Wedding on Walton's Mountain (YouTube) -- Tracey in CA, 18:08:37 06/07/08 Sat [12]
To all my Waltons buddies,
Like me which I only saw it once when they aired A Wedding on Walton's Mountain back in Feb 1982 which I was still in high school and I'm so glad that one of my good friend downloaded on YouTube. They are 9 part of the video which he edited out of the commerical but right now so far he only had 6 part. It's worth to watch it.

DVD Case Autographs? -- Will, 19:41:13 06/14/08 Sat [1]
I am thinking about sending my Season 2 box set case to either Joe Conley or Eric Scott, but I want to make sure that who ever I send it to gets it and that it is not lost in the mail. What should I do?
I'm making some custom made photos for Eric Scott to sign and I was curious as to what font was used for "The Waltons" logo. I've looked all over and can't find it. I found some that were similar but I want it to be the exact font style.
Helping Contact Other Members -- Will, 14:18:55 06/05/08 Thu [68]
Hi. New here. I have become a fan of "The Waltons" recently, and I'm now getting up around 6:30 to catch the early morning episodes on Hallmark.
I'm on a mission to contact all the surviving cast members.
I need some help with addresses.
I have Ralph Waite, Joe Conley,Earl Hamner Jr., and Ronnie Claire Edwards.
I can't find addresses for Eric Scott, Kami Cotler, Jon Walmsley, Judy Norton-Taylor, David W. Harper, and Michael Learned.
I'm sure every newcomer asks for addresses- but I thought I would give it a try.
Modern TV Shows -- Renee, 08:01:38 05/27/08 Tue [34]
Do you have any favorite current tv shows? I honestly don't have one that I HAVE to see and there's nothing wholesome about the ones I do watch....House, Numbers, Cold Case. Not one of these shows are appropiate for my kids. Does anyone know any family friendly shows that are currently airing? Keep in mind we ditched satellite several years ago.
Also, can you recommend any series on DVD that are family-friendly? I have The Walton, Little House, Andy Griffith and Leave it to Beaver.
One more question....Has anyone seen the "The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles"? It looks good but the DVD's are pricey so I thought I'd get some Walton fan reviews first.
12 Angry Men -- Dennis, 21:58:52 06/11/08 Wed [11]
Tonight my daughter took me to see 12 Angry Men in Toronto. For those who may not know, it stars Richard Thomas. He was wonderful. A mild manner sort but one who asks the questions. He made it a very believable situation and since it is only one set, the dialogue has to carry the play. The remaining cast was excellent. It is played with no intermission and is 1 1/2 hours long but the time just flew. If it comes to a theatre near you, I recommend it!
Members of "The Waltons International Fan Club" -- Will, 19:54:19 06/11/08 Wed [7]
Is anyone here a member of "The Waltons International Fan Club"? I am seriously contemplating joining, I really want to. I want some input from other members before I make a decision.
Why did the theme music change? -- Will, 21:05:27 06/07/08 Sat [9]
I just bought my Season 2 DVDs, and when I watched the first episode I was surprised to hear a different theme than Season 9, which is what I have been watching on Hallmark Channel. Why did the theme music change?
