Takara had been about to heed Tori's advice when the voice of Adrian drew her up short. Grey eyes settled on the bay stallion, curiosity glimmering in the slate depths. Adrian remained an enigma to her, a description she was almost sure he'd enjoy. He'd been a constant adversary of her mother-in-law and yet, at one point, he'd freed Zackari from Nukpana's grasp. Not sure of what to think, but still knowing that he couldn't be up to anything good, the splotched mare decided that flight was indeed the best course of action. The arrival of others continued to surprise her--Roxie, Satin Kiss, a large cat, and others. Wasn't this turning out to be some soiree? Then...Hex arrived. A jubilant whicker of relief passed her labrums, it was good to see her mate alive and fairly unscathed. She yearned to touch him, to determine for herself that he was well and whole but dire times neccessitated that she act quickly and vacate the Isle. Milky tendrils swayed about her flanks as she turned to leave, hoping to give Hex some peace of mind. Then, Firelight's arrogant tones assaulted her thorns. Lacing her auds against her skull, the dame craned her neck to send a scathing glance back at the Dark Queen.

~Oh I'll do that~ she retorted in a voice as sweet as saccharine. ~I'm sure you're in a big hurry to have your hide stomped into the ground~ It was strange how protective the dark bay was of Tori, but for now, Takara wouldn't ask on it. As a scuffle began between Adrian and the large cat, Takara decided that now was definitely the best time to get going. Emitting one last farewell, she headed off toward Sun Kissed Beach, her retreat protected by the unlikeliest characters she'd ever imagined.
