Dear Theresa,
This is fantastic! You won't believe this... oh, actually you will understand the similar path... I am into music too!

You see, as a primary school teacher in Singapore we need to teach almost every subject (Language, Maths and Science, Social studies, Physical Education, Health education, Arts, Music... etc). So, besides my core subject in Biology at the University, I chose to learn primary school music pedagogy too. I have taught myself classical guitar and harmonica when I was in my youth. At the U, I took up courses in Chinese flute, Indian music studies, and Japanese shakuhachi (a bamboo vertical flute). Next semester, I may sign up for a short course in malay music studies.

Perhaps, empaths can express better in arts and music? Occasionally, I enjoy creating poetic stanzas.

Oh, I must tell you that I am also into healing. I have just graduated from a gruelling 6-year professional diploma in TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) in July this year. You know, those herbs and acupunture stuff. I took up the part-time night classes at a well-known TCM college in Singapore (the one at Lorong 4 Toa Payoh, you husband will probably know it).

Amazing how we do have much similarities in music, healing and spirituality! I am beginning to feel a kinship to you. Bright blessings, sister!
:)
Alvin
