My favorite holiday is Easter and Christmas. I love them both equally!

Easter because that is the day Jesus Christ was resurrected and became the Living Christ.

Christmas because that is the day we celebrate the Saviors birth.

If you really deeply think about it, is there one
( Christmas or Easter ) that you like a tad bit more than the other?

Christmas is too commericialized. Last year, it was my very first Christmas as a Christian. Last year, we celebrated with gift giving. This year will be different. This year we are going to take out the commericialism and place it where it belongs, the focus being on Jesus Christ and his birth. Last year we did celebrate by eating on the floor and made similar foods that were eaten. It was nice and simple, roasted chicken with wheat rice, hummus and pita bread, grape juice ( substitute for wine ), and a few other foods which I can't remember at this time. Instead of buying big expensive gifts this year, we will spend no less than $10 on something sentimental. I think people are loosing the meaning what Christmas is really about. It's about giving, giving to those in need. If commericialism was out of the picture, and they thought about all the unfortunate people who dont have food, shelter, clothes etc, then maybe this world would be a better place. As Michael Jackson once sang " Heal the world, make it a better place, for you and for me and the entire human race, there are, people dying, if you care enough for the living, make it a better place, for you and for me. "

for me it's equally important. I do not hold one higher than the other. Jesus' birth was important as well as his resurrection. Both go hand in hand.
