I agree w/ you on Guiliani. I don't think he has a chance w/ the far right.

I don't think that Kennedy would care if he were excommunicated. He rolls his Catholicity out when it's convenient, but I honestly think that he would be the first to bash the Church if he were excommunicated.

But who am I to say. Maybe his public appearance doesn't reflect his true faith.

...a candidate who believes in abortion can win the Rep'n nomination. While I like Giuliani's stand on most issues, with his socially liberal agenda, I'm baffled that he could think that he would have a chance. Overconfidence maybe? Even if he wins the Rep'n nomination, his chances nationwide would be poor. Again, the Christain Rt would stay home.

As for Ted Kennedy, you're pro'bly right. While he might squirm a lil' at first if he was ex-comm'd, he'd pro'bly start bashing the Church for its 'backward stance' on things. What else would be new with him? Like you, I'm puzzled that folks elect these clowns to ofc. A strong case for term limits? You think? LoL...
