A few comments: Wisdom teeth are not usually removed until 16 or so; this seems a little early. Intravenous general anesthesia is usually given to teens for wisdom teeth, as well as a canula that fits the nose of give them extra oxygen while they are asleep. Having had braces as a teenager, I find it hard to believe that braces were put on at the same time as the wisdom teeth were removed, because removing the wisdom teeth usually causes a considerable amount of swelling and sensitivity, and putting on braces can cause some initial discomfort. These procedures are done by two different types of dentists as well: an oral surgeon usually removes wisdom teeth, while an orthodontist puts on braces. While the general anesthesia used for dental surgery is usually pretty light, and the patient is not intubated, they are usually quite groggy and disoriented when first waking up, and need some assistance getting up and making it back to the car. Oral surgeons will not give you general anesthesia, unless the patient has someone to drive for them. I've never heard of anyone showing any signs of having been undressed, partially or completely during oral surgery. And, as stated earlier, he would probably have been quite groggy and disoriented coming out of the anesthesia. In addition an oral surgeon's office is equipped quite differently from a doctor's office, and from an orthodontist's office as well. Oral surgery and orthodontia are two distinct and different dental specialties that require different tools and equipment. While I certainly can't dispute anything the boy says in this report, I must say that much of it strikes me as odd, and does not follow from what I know from my first hand experience at having braces, having had my wisdom teeth out and from having had multiple visits to oral surgeons.
