"So, Ezraaa..."

"That's my name, don't wear it out." he said jokily, turning to her as he heard her use his name for the first time. "I've been wondering: why did you come over? When you saw me, I mean. Why did you go up to a complete stranger and introduce yourself?" Ezra looked thoughtful for a moment as she spoke, but was probably not concentrating very hard, then he took the bottle of vodka by the neck as Natasha placed it between them and had another round.

"Well, it was something like," he began airily, bottle in one hand and a slight slur in his voice, "There I was, ya know, being bored fucking stupid and feeling rather sick, but turning around and going back home was too far away and equally boring, it's always a bit interesting if you're really bored to sit somewhere and look at strangers going about their daily lives, kinda like spying on your neighbours when you're also really bored, not that I do that, not now, anyway, maybe, when I was very little..." he rambled off track, taking another large swig of vodka and returning it to its place on the bench. "anyway... what was I saying?" he frowned, then lightened up as he remembered. "Oh yeah. So as I came out of the alley I saw this bench with somebody on it, you coincidentally, and decided, well, what the hell, it's a public bench, if you wanted me to fuck off you'd have said so, and it is mere politeness to introduce oneself upon meeting another. Thank you." he finished off as if ending a very important speach, giving another swooping bow, or rather trying to but ending up leaning very far to the side instead. He laughed. Alcohol could make anything funny. "Great isn't it, getting pissed on the street. Hello!" he turned and waved gleefully as an old lady, grey and bent, walked passed them on the opposite side of the road. She stopped, looking a bit put-upon and bewildered upon seeing them, and carried on walking with a slight increase in speed. "Run for your life!" He called after her and laughed again. "Your turn. How'd you get here?"
