The monster let his nasty lips brush her cheek. It was horrid to her, even if he was absolutely gorgeous. It made her think of Cainen...only his lips were so much warmer. The thought of him gave her a little more confidence and hope...she would stay alive--for him, if nothing else.

Her hands were shaking now...the cold feeling setting into the bone...or was it the anger and rage that he had thought he was allowed to touch her like that?

Her hand seemed to twitch again at the comment. Completely out of her control. His face was there, still closer to her. It flew up quicker than she'd ever moved before...right at the face that held that stupid, triumphant smirk. What was with her and smacking vampire things lately? Did she not see that was one of the stupidest things to do? Maybe it was her mind, going through all the possible options. Trying to find some way to get her out of this.

Fury wished her mind worked a little better under pressure.
