(ooc: omg, I'm sorry. :C I was gonna tell you I'll be online more often now because schoolwork's slowing down a bit, but then on the weekend my computer started acting up. x_x Like it just randomly freezes in the middle of nothing, and it stays that way forever unless you switch it off at the plug, and sometimes it won't even start up and just dies on me altogether. xP It's not even that old, only 4 years. The noobmachine. < /excuses, excuses>

"Here, i think you need some."
Max looked up and then down as Midori dropped the bottle of aspirin onto his lap. "You read minds." he unscrewed the lid and tipped two tablets into his hand and swallowed them. He watched her with his head lazily tilted sideways as she made her way to the kitchen and got two glasses of water. He was more thinking something along the lines of a barrel of mampoer- or moonshine, he thought it was called here. But he figured water was probably a better option if you wanted to clear your head. Mampoer would knock you out.
It was a curious thing, really; now that that was over with, and they were now in an apartment behind locked doors and fairly safe and unbusy, he suddenly felt like a stranger again and couldn't think of a word to say. It wasn't that friends needed something to talk about every minute of every hour in order for them to be friends, but it was more that they could share a momentary silence without feeling obliged to break it. He just couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something he was supposed to be saying or asking.
"Here, I thought you might want something to drink. Sorry I locked the door, its a habit. You can leave if you want to."
He issued a "thanks" as the glass of water was placed on the small table beside the couch. She sounded pretty shaken, and kept hovering next to the couch instead of actually sitting down. He got up too. It felt weird and inconciderate on his part being the only one not standing. Max shook his head. "No hurry. I can hang around a little longer if you're sca- if it'll make you feel better?" He paused for a moment, and smiled half-heartedly. "But I'll go if I'm being annoying. Do you wanna sit down?" Max asked, somewhat awkwardly. If she wished to sit, then he would join her, but if she wished to stand instead, then he would do that too, if she didn't want him to leave.
