"I’m Lyla. And you didn’t scare me."

Lyla. It was a pretty name. But then, she was a pretty girl. Ezra allowed himself a small sideways smile. He didn't entirely believe her, that he hadn't scared or at least surprised her- he could tell from the look on her face when she'd first spotted him. Of course there was the possibility that maybe she wasn't lying; Ezra wasn't exactly a very, well, threatening-looking person. He had probably looked even more frightened than she had when she'd shifted into her human form.

"Maybe you aren’t lost. Maybe your duel nature brought you here on purpose?"

"My what-?" Slow moment there. "Oh right," it passed quickly enough. "Is there any reason why it would want to do that?" he asked airily, glancing up and around the interior of the subway and scratching the back of his head. Another metallic clang reverberated from somewhere in one of the tunnels. Someone ought to rebuild this place. As in, bulldoze it. Or at least fix that dodgy... whatever it was that wasn't working and causing all those ill-omened noises. "Wait, I think I got it, the whole creepy-abandoned-subway thing is just some sort of smoke screen, and really this is like the most awesome of awesome places that I will ever be in." he suddenly went off on a bit of a tangent, gesticulating with his hands, and probably sounding like he'd just escaped from some sort of institute for the criminally insane. That would be pretty cool, though. He paused for a moment. "Have you been here before?"
