 We're 5 Weekes into having the new elected Premier elected to the NSW government here in Australia. So far he's failed on a couple of his "IMMEDIATE" promises one of which was to give us frontline and health care workers a significant pay increase. What he failed to tell us was he's jacking up the tax rate with further increases of 15percent every six months for the next 3 years. We're a small population so this will rake in an extra $3.88b. But he's telling us it's not for revenue, it's for the better health of our kids. BS. He's banning vapes and the only reason for that is over 2 million kids smoke vape in schools. The real REASON IS THEY DON'T COME UNDER THE TAX / tobacco act therefore the government can't obtain tax from it they way it stands. Schools are going to install vape detectors. There goes teacher's promised pay increase. Besides my husband and I, I have 4 kids, 3 of whom smoke so this BS tax is going to hurt.
