Subject: How do you teach a step if you can't remember it?
In reply to: Take your elitist attitude back to CLRG if you are such a know it all. More inside 's message, "You spew so much shite." on 13:08:49 12/16/25 Tue

You make it up as you go along.

Yep, that's what happened, repeatedly. If you didn't remember it and no one else in class remembered it than you just started over. As dance students we got very good at remembering dance very quickly. With the invent of smart phone most dancers started taping steps in class for that reason. Especially if we had a workshop instructor come in to teach steps. Because the ADCRG would even say "You better remember these steps because I am not."

I wasn't talking about myself. I was the person everyone always came to when they couldn't remember part of the step. Memorizing things is not a problem I have. I just have empathy and know it is a problem other people have.

And I'm not part of CLRG anymore. For many reasons. But they seem to be used as a gold standard of testing and I am just pointing out that even many of their teachers with all the testing, are cruddy. Partly because their testing process is just as corrupt and political as the rest of the organization.
