I'm not going to enter into a debate about news content. Like I said, you are never going to please everyone. We all have our own interests and dislikes. The item that sparked this string was a news story concerning police cars. We are all interested in them. Some of us have already seen and heard enough to determine that the CV fires are simply a byproduct of speed and numbers, others among us may feel that a design flaw might exist. News stations are not in the business of making that determination on their own so they rely on developments like test results and the opinions of the product users to decide when the "story" has reached a conclusion. When a major city sues an auto manufacturer it warrants attention. If you are an educated reader you will not automatically perceive that Ford is at fault. In my opinion, if NHTSA says it's O.K., it's O.K. But then why did Ford begin installing shields? If you are a media-hating cop then your answer will probably be because Ford was pressured by the media. Do you know the real answer? If you do then maybe we should just get all our facts from you and let the government take over the media. Then Monaco Minor could really get his fill of politics.
