Never at Da Nang,as I recall attack was couple of hours after dark. No report of damage may be because it was a Vietnamese parking area and base. Also it was very close to Air America/covert CIA parking ramp, all black no markings C-123's, crews would load equipment covered and all were in civilian clothes.(operation "Duck Hook" mean anything to you?) My orders to Nha Trang stated assigned to Operation Duck Hook, only thing I could find out that was operation which was discontinued in "64". That helicopter I mentioned was destroyed and burning??? and the pad had holes where mortar rounds hit. Also remember our guys stated about an hour before attack all the vietnamese guards and families were gone. All I can recall Don!
