Daniel is 12. I don't know if he'd like a penpal but I would!!! There have been times that I would have killed for someone to discuss "stuff" with (even though we've done the whole group thing). I don't know why it never came up before either, LOL! Are you with a group? Do you set your own lesson plans, just go with the flow or maybe follow a preset curriculum? Daniel was taught the "whole word" approach - didn't work at all. Silly really as we had The Best reading system here in NZ (other countries would come to study it) but, like so many things, "If it's good ... it can only get better" :( Not so! They managed to wreck it and there will be a generation that will pay for that (but not my child if I can help it).

So - what have you found the most satisfying so far? It's a funny thing I know, you tend to worry and wonder and question what you're doing as a "non professional" and yet.... well the class sizes here were 30+, could I realy do worse... don't think so!

Do Jack and Kylie know where New Zealand is? ;-) Better point it out to them real quick cause it's important ya know!! LOL - Daniel lives here after all and he might have something to say about it otherwise!! ;-)

I'm excited too Nicole!! Do you have many links for lesson plans and that type of thing? I have some I'll share if you like...? Let me know. :)

Diane.
