They are called Kea's and they are terribly destructive mountain parrots from down south. They are known to do terrible damage to cars left parked in the parking grounds of some places, real clowns who can't resist a challange! Daniel and I read an excellent fiction book about them a couple of years ago. They are the Boxers of the parrot world! ;-)

Weta's are real too *evil grin* very frightening creatures to some(I'm fine with them unless they jump when I don't expect it!) and don't forget tuatara's - a living fossil with three eyes no less. :)
