I;m a great believer in aloe vera and use it straight from the plant for cuts, wounds etc. Does any one know if there are any contra indications for aloe vera?
Also does anyone know of Culpeper's Complete Herbal. (the book that is)Nicholas Culpeper (1616-1664) studied at Cambrige Uni and became an apothecary, physician and astrolger. His book is a facinating historical treatise nd stands as a monument to botancical and medical science.
Of course the herbs are English herbs of the time, and the reading is pretty heavy going at times, but it's worth looking in to.
Ellie.
