I have had a few things occur that are not in keeping with this world as we know it. I won't go into all of them but I'll describe the one that stands out.

As a girl I was at home alone one day when I felt an overwhelming desire to look through a box of old family photos that were kept in a cupboard. I got the box out and went through them in short order, not really stopping to look untill I came to a framed picture of a saint (my fathers family were of the Catholic faith). I took the picture, turned it over and without hesitation (or any reason to do so) I undid the clips that kept the frame in place and took the back off. Between the backing of the frame and the picture of the saint were pictures. Photos of my passed on Grandparents. No one knew they were there. My Nana must have put them there at some time in the long distant past for some unknown reason. I firmly believe that she wanted them found and directed me to them that day. Only afterwards did I see the significance of this and felt slightly shaken.

I've had other things too. My sister is a little the same and my Grandmother (on my mothers side saw a cross on the wall of her kitchen immediatly prior to recieving the news of her first husbands death). Recently I discovered that my family (through the Grandmother in the photos) is descended from gypsies... maybe that explains some things.

I am not an athiest (sp?), I have my own beliefs in things spiritual... where we come from and what guides us but I also believe in the ability of things we don't fully understand to touch our lives. I also believe in protective spirits, or guardian angels if you prefer. Once or twice in my life they have made their presence felt to me in a good and protective way.
