I think you got some good advice. buying a house is very stressful and all your concern's are normal, I went through the same thing. but you know what? don't live your life in fear, go for it if it's within your means, but never get into something you can't afford and have that little "cush" just in case.

good luck in your decision, 1,200 dollars a month is not cheap for rent, I bet you could find an awesome house for the same payment and you will get good money back on your income taxes, and NEDRA would have a yard:)
