We live in a renovated warehouse in the Warehouse District which is one of the most expensive buildings in Cleveland (ick!) so keep that in mind, rent isn't as expensive in the suburbs.

Our apartment is two bedroom, two bath, upstairs and downstairs. It is 1500 square feet. The ceiling in the living room goes up 30 feet and all of our other ceilings are 13 feet tall (this explains the high electric [heat] bills.) Our building has a two story fitness center and a concierge that is on duty from 7AM to 7PM, then a member of the Cleveland Police Department comes in and sits desk.

Rent: $1150.00 a month. (This includes pet fee $30.00 [our security deposit for her was $300.00 - OUCH!] and water, waste removal, etc.)
Parking: $100.00 a month per car. (We only keep one up here.)
Our last Electric bill was: $53.00 but in Feb. it was $230.00. (We haven't had to use air yet this year.)
No Gas.
No Water.
No Sewage.

Usually around here we pay about a dollar, maybe a little less, per square foot. We chose to pay the little extra to live where we are because we are artists (a little too concerned with aesthetics!) and we are young (we wanted to be by the younger crowd.)

So in short, I might as well live in La Jolla! Oh Marlene! Would you like company??
