As long as we're on the subject of time discrepancies in XF, I'm wondering when most people consider Mulder and Scully to have first met? IMHO, their "anniversary" is September 10, 1993, which is when the Pilot first aired.
However, the date stamps on that ep put it in spring of 1992 -- almost a full 18 months before it aired. If we accept spring of 1992 as the "real" date for the events of "Pilot", for subsequent episodes to make any sort of chronological sense that would mean they just spent over a year doing not much of anything (or, possibly, that Scully worked with Mulder on the X-Files during the events of "Pilot" then went back to teaching at Quantico during the intervening time until "Deep Throat"). Given Scully's official birthdate of February 23, 1964, there really shouldn't have been time for her to have completed college, medical school, the FBI academy *and* have taught at Quantico for two years by the spring of 1992; indeed, there's just barely time for her to have done all that by the fall of 1993. So I'm sticking with events of "Pilot" as having occurred during September of 1993.
I think it would be cool if the second XF movie debuted on September 10, 2003; on the 10-year-anniversary of the show!
