CW hoots at the sight. "Bubba, you've lived with us long enough to know that you're supposed to remove the plastic before eating!"

Bubba glares at her. Clearly, humans don't appreciate the pleasure of plastic hitting the palate. CW, unnerved by Bubba's reaction, turns her attention to the tree.

"My, what a lovely tree! Kande, you really outdid yourself this year." As Kande preens at the compliment, Bubba scowls. HE put up the tree. HE decorated it without any help. HE strung the popcorn. HE put that stupid star on the top - without using a ladder. HE wrapped all the presents under the tree. He decides to get even by not leaving out cookies and milk for Santa. That'll show all them stupid humans! Bubba is pretty sure that Santa won't leave anything if he doesn't get a snack.

Kande sits at the bar, looking over her domain. CW and her many lettered friend are whispering to each other. KS is listening to JD's Christmas list. IG and SMH are discussing IG's latest MSR novel. Rabid, looking pale in the lights on the tree, is nibbling cookies with her pointy eye teeth. Stardoe is working the barby (including BBQ tofu for Kande). Detoured is walking around making sure everyone is drinking eggnog (even the lactose-intolerant mayor can't avoid it). The mayor is looking queasy but regal in her diamond-studded tiara. BDM is sitting in a corner reading a book on Canadian history. The Red Speedo Revue and Dancing Danas are rehearsing their Christmas production of "Andrew Lloyd Webber's Grinch: The Musical."

Smiling, Kande checks the till. Empty. "Hey! Didn't you guys PAY for those drinks?!"
