"Kande is the press and she's right here," KS reminds everyone as Scully and CW exit the library with William in tow. Now completely redressed in her old, comfortable clothes, KS adroitly leaps over the counter. She hands the Mayor a toothpick.

"Yeah," Kande says in amazement. "I AM the Press. Let's see, the headlines should read: SCULLY LEADS SEARCH FOR ABDUCTED LIBRARIAN."

"I prefer: MAYOR ALLOWS FEDS TO SEARCH FOR ABDUCTED LIBRARIAN," the Mayor says tartly, finally removing the pesky spinach from her teeth.

"How about: NEW LIBRARIAN CLEANS UP AFTER OLD?" KS mutters beneath her breath as she finds a bunch of old fingernail clippings, used kleenex, and steamy romance books hidden in Rabid's desk. With one sweep of her arm, the mess is in the trash can. "You two need to scoot. I've got to close up the library and go help Scully and CW."

"Oh no you don't!" Kande scolds. "Scully told you to stay here and the Mayor has to stand guard at City Hall. I'm going to go over to the Klub and prepare for their return." And change into something a little more comfortable, she thinks to herself with a naughty gleam in her eye.

"What about me?" Spike comes out of the shadows between the racks of books. "I should help do something too." He looks KS up and down. "I want to stay here and help you."

"I'm right here!" JD complains loudly to Spike. "I know you're coming on to KS."

"That's OK, JD, I can handle him," KS says with a steely glance at Spike that warns him not to try any monkey business, especially while JD is around. She starts rummaging around in her artillery belt. "Crap. CW took my belt! It has all my latest artillery gadgets and gizmo's. This is her belt." KS holds up a belt with gardening tools in it.

"That settles it, then, you're not going anywhere." The Mayor stands up and motions to Kande. "Kande and I are going after Scully as back-up. Spike can go with us too," she gives Spike a lingering look, "and JD can stay here and help KS shelve books."

KS smirks. "You're not going anywhere, Mayor. That toothpick I gave you had a sedative smeared on the tip. In just a few minutes, you'll be taking a snooze." She looks over at Kande. "You will be too, because the tic-tac I gave you was a sedative."

"And me?" Spike purrs.

"You can go over to the Klub and start cooking. I'll be hungry when I get back from rescuing everybody. JD will help you."

The two men: the living man and the undead, give each other glances of loathing but then do what they were told and leave the building to head over to the Klub.

"But you don't have your artillery," the Mayor points out and yawns.

KS looks over the trowels, scissors, ball of twine, insecticide, etc. that are in CW's belt. "Oh, I can make weapons out of just about anything." She waves at Kande and the Mayor who are drooping over the library tables.

"I'm going to fine her just right after I take a little nap," the Mayor declares and then her head falls with a thump to the table.

"I think the headlines should be: KS: WANTED DEAD OR ALIVE," Kande fumes before sleep overtakes her.
