Despite her obvious pain, she stood from the unmoving body of her love. Staring down longingly at him, she undid the clasps on her cloak and laid it over his body. Stifling down her tears, she walked over to Arienne, managing to smile as brightly as possible. Sy would have wanted it this way - for her to move on. So she would.

"Hello, I realize this isn't the best of times for you to join us, but I can at least do my best to make you feel welcome," she murmured, eyesresting fondly on Aiko. Whatever happened, she would be the one they protected.

"I'm Karsky, and that's Aiko," she continued on, but stopped after that, forcing away the biting edge on lonliness that gnawed at her heart.
