>Blue, after smiling happily at Darla's tear-streaked

And then there's also the part where she looks at Angel and calls his name. I think she was going to say something like "be careful" or something.

It *does*
>look like Darla might have been dusted, so he only
>comfort I can give you is that the Lullaby pic with
>Angel, Darla, and Fred comes after the scene where
>Darla tells Angel to protect their baby. The pic we

I really want to believe this. I really do, but ugh, I can't! It doesn't add up! :)

I've got another scenario:

As we know from the TV Guide spoilers Darla is afraid that once she gives birth she won't be able to love her son anymore. Man, the sound of that?! Her *son*!!!! Their son!

So I think she's telling Angel in that snippet from the promo that she'll more than likely leave since she doesn't want to find out.

Darla gives birth. Tearfully leaves the scene (kind of like Angel did with Buffy in Graduation Day II) and Angel and Fred are left with the baby. Holtz shows up and raises his crossbow. Suddenly Darla shows up again but this time she's behind Holtz. She whacks him over the head knocking him out unconscious.

Darla then takes one last look at her child and Angel and runs away.

She'll come back though. I've gotten the impression from some people that got a chance to see Julie at the B/A convention in England that she's still very much a part of the Angel cast.

Damn it! Make her a regular next season so that she doesn't get tied up with another show!

Okay, calm now. :)

>*Sigh* okay, that's it. Next week when the wildfeed
>arrives, just tell us in a post whether Darla lives or
>dies, that's all. I can't take much more anxiety and I
>really, really loathe the idea that Darla leaves the
>baby and Cordy raisies it, jumping off A/C'ness.

NIGHTMARE! HA! But I think the reason why the writers upped the tension between Cordelia and Darla, yet not Fred and Darla (notice she's the only other character truly concerned about Darla?) is because if anyone's going to be close to that baby it'll be Fred in addition to Angel. Helping Angel with the baby will give Fred another purpose on the show. Darla and Fred had some *moments* in this episode.

>Darla has been given every bad female trait in the
>book, I really hope the writers aren't going to make
>her an abansoning mother too, even though, I really
>wouldn't put it past them.

She really has but I don't think they'll pull a *Spike* with her. One thing I've noticed is that the writers have done a great with maintaining Darla's character without weakening her with her *human* moments.

She'll be back though. We just have to wait until Feb. sweeps. BY the way, Tim Minear will be writing and directing episode 14 = February Sweeps.

GAH!
