Moina took half a step back as Kosses advanced, and then stepped to the side to go around her own smaller frame. She watched, careful, wary, as the alpha passed.. and then she scented. and Moina was action. She ducked, dropping her haunch to make her pivot speedier. She darted in front of Kosses, snarling, hackles raised, and one side of her lips lifted, showing saliva-wetted canines. Her ears were flat against her skull, and through it all, she still kept her head and body lower than Kosses', her tail tucked between her legs. But she didn't back down, she stood off with Kosses, fully intending to stand up for her pups if it meant putting her life on the line. Gavin Watched, and stepped back a pace as his sibling darted in front of Kosses, flicking his ears back and repressing an urge to snap at Moina's tail as she bumped her hip against his chest. he was trying ot stay neutral, since neither bitch was at the moment.
