Didi, I so understand how you feel right now. I was devastated when it happened. I have not read any spoilers or any possible speculation etc. at all on AtS, so I was in shock. It took me 3 hours to recover before I could get on the Internet to see how everyone was dealing with it.

Bullocks, your post could actually help me sleep better tonight. After calming down and reading your post, I do feel better. I still have issues with the 'out-of-character' Darla before her death (yes, I know the circumstances make it more believable, but I still feel they went a bit far). I too am tainted by the horrors going on in BtVS and am extremely allergic to issues dealing with 'redemption', so I can't help feeling that this is another push for vampires being 'just like humans'.

If I can pull myself away from that, yes, it was a beautiful death, and it was heartbreaking. The scenes between Darla and Angel during this episode were powerful and poignant. Great episode.
