Subject: Lifeline

Harm: "I guess I never pictured myself celebrating your engagement."
Mac: "Did you expect me to stay single forever?"
Harm: "I don't know what I expected. You've been a surprise to me from the moment we met. You remember?"
("We the People" Flashback)
Mac: "The look on your face made the hair stand up on the back of my neck."
Harm: "Imagine how I felt. You were Diane come back to life. The resemblance was uncanny."
Mac: "Sometimes I'd catch you looking at me. I knew you were seeing her."
Harm: "She meant a lot to me."
Mac: "So I gathered."

Mac: "I figured that's why you resented me at first."
Harm: "Because you look like Diane?"
Mac: "Because I wasn't Diane."
Harm: "Mac, I never resented you."
Mac: "You didn't like me."
Harm: "You didn't like me. I at least tried to be friendly."
Mac: "Friendly? You torpedoed me our first time out."

Yes that's right our next episode is "Lifeline"

Full of flashbacks of our favorite series Mac and Harm are on the Admiral's front porch reminiscing about the past at Mac and Mic's engagement party.
I did not need to rewatch this one I remember it LOL!

[> [> The Kiss would have to be a big favorite, but I think I'll vote for the painfully poignant (how's that for a phrase?) brushing of hands at the very end. No faces, just hands. It makes me want to weep whenever I see it. -- Deemus, 13:16:05 04/21/09 Tue

[> [> The only "have it" that I have is that they should've let this episode lead to something...i.e. Mac should've ended things with Mic, instead of it basically being a bone thrown to the shippers with nothing really coming of it. This isn't one of my favorites for that reason, but then again there are very few S6 eps that I enjoyed.... -- Jennifer, 19:37:20 04/26/09 Sun

[> [> [> Good point, Jennifer. I didn't "catch the fever" until the fall of Season 7, so I had already seen several later episodes (and knew H & M weren't together). Therefore, it wasn't quite as much of a letdown for me. I does seem foolish, though, to have such an obviously leading episode leading...nowhere! -- Deemus, 14:16:51 04/27/09 Mon
