I know I will more then likely get myself into a lot of trouble on this....but I DONT CARE what language our National Anthem is sung in.

As far as Bush saying...."People who want to be a citizen of this country ought to learn English. And they ought to learn to sing the national anthem in English," Mr. Bush said during a Rose Garden news conference.

PLEASE!!!!!!
I've never heard a President....a grad of Yale, compleatly destroy the English language like he does...maybe he "ought to learn" to speak English correctly before he dumps on Spanish speaking Americans.

You know if we can have the Bible and Book of Mormon in Spanish...whats the big deal?

And yes I have seen National Anthems of other countries translated and sung in English.

I think some people just have to much extra time on their hands if they have time to grip and worry about someone singing the National Anthem in Spanish!

But I think there are more important things to worry about then someone singing the National Anthem in Spanish...I know some of the words have been re-worded but that is just the way of translating anything form one language into another...to help it make more sense to the new translated version.
Take sign language. Do you think it has the same sentance structure as spoken English?

anyway

I think Bush should be more worried about getting us into a war that was not needed and the loss of thousands of American men and women in uniform and tens if not hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraq civs.

gotta go...now that I've compleatly butchers the English language!
