Chapter 11: Confirmations
Nique had a plan to confirm her suspicions about Talib and Terina. She gave Lami a "follow-my-lead" look and smiled.
Nigue: "Lami, we've gotta get going. We're going to be late for the movie!"
Lami looked at his watch: "Oh you're right! We gotta run... uh, Terina? Could you give Talib a ride back? He came in my car and we've gotta split."
Terina: "Fine, let's go." Nique thanked her and she ran off with Lami. As soon as they were out of sight, Talib turned to Terina and smiled.
Terina: "What?"
Talib: "Nice work... you should get an Oscar for your convincing performance!"
Terina: "Oh, whatever!" she slapped Talib's arm.
Terina: "C'mon, let's get outta here before someone sees us together."
They walked out of the mall into the bright sunshine and Talib just looked at Terina, silent until she would notice him.
Terina turned to him and smiled: "What are you doing?"
Talib: "Just wondering if you were ACTUALLY going to take me home..."
Terina: "Talib! You always have one thing on your mind, don't you?"
Talib: "Hey! I never said anything!" he held up his hands in protest. He paused.
Talib: "... So? Where are we going?" Terina rolled her eyes and unlocked the car doors as Talib gave her a big smile.
Terina: "Where do you WANT to go?"

On her way home Meg passed Talib's place. She figured she would stop by and see when he was expected back. Maybe she'd wait for him there. She pulled up the driveway and rang the doorbell.
The door opened and Jiz stood there with Liz behind him.
Jiz: "Hey Meg, what's up?"
Meg: "Do you know when Talib's gonna be back?"
Liz and Jiz exchanged looks and shook their head.
Liz: "Nope"
Meg sighed and decided just to go home: "Okay, thanks guys. Let him know I stopped by and ask him to call me?"
Jiz: "Sure"
Meg: "Thanks, see ya later." Meg returned to her car. As she looked in rearview mirror, to see if the road was clear to back out, she caught sight of a car driving by quickly. But not fast enough for her to not notice who the two people were in the car. Meg backed out of the driveway and headed home for real this time.

Liz: "She looked really frazzled" Jiz shut the door behind them.
Jiz: "You don't think she knows, do you?"
Liz: "I don't know... but if she does know, how did she find out?!"
Jiz: "Who knows... but Talib definitely got himself into a complicated mess."

Lami: "You are so sneaky...How did you figure them out?"
Nique looked over her shoulder and saw Terina touch Talib's arm. And they were both laughing.
Nique: "Meg told me that she suspected something and I didn't realize it till I actually saw them together. Looks like it's true..."
Lami turned around to see it for himself and Nique was right. They were talking, laughing and getting up to leave together.
Lami: "You gotta admit, they're good though... really good."
Nique: "But not good enough because people are catching on. Like us... and Talib's girlfriend."
