Wow, Toklas just made this really easy for me... Organization, movement, and personal skills like snap shooting are very important in the game of speedball.

For info on these skills and more head to www.pbstar.com or www.p8ntballer.com (they both have excellent tourny how tos)

I will add...

Learn to walk a field, if you can't look at a field and find good bunkers to start at (with plenty of places to go after you move there) evaluate their protection etc.

Snap shooting is very important, learn to pop out quick (keep yourself tight) and take a few quick shots (one burst) and don't wait around for the paint to hit, get back under cover.

To be competitive you must also be in shape etc. (unless you can play as a back player!)

Angles are also the name of the game in speedball/hyperball/supair ball. Unlike rec games you don't face off with the opposing players most of your eliminations (and the hits you will take) come from players acrossed the field.

-Learn to evaluate a bunker for the cover it has (against people picking you off with angles)
-Learn to make moves that put you at an angle with an opposing player (so hopefully *you* get the shot)
-When you are at your bunker keep tabs on your body/gear. If you expose something (if not to the front than the side) you may find yourself watching from the sidelines.

P.S. There is so much more to this whole thing like shooting lanes, sliding etc. But it usually comes with experience... I can't really teach you in text how to come into a bunker or read a field...
