When they got to the Pacific Coast they built their camp for the Winter. After a short time, they had to abandon their camp and move inland due to the constant high winds and rain that was driving the men crazy.
P.S. Maybe that's what's wrong with those crazy leftists that live on the Washington and Oregon coastline!
