The whole other-memory debate sometimes bores me. I think that the fact is that there is no "real science" behind it and maybe Frank never really thought about it as hard as his fans do, so there is no unifying definite explanation. I mean, sometimes I think we all sound like a bunch of dorks arguing over the physics behind dilithium crystals or a warp core drive or something.

I'm not saying it isn't interesting, but maybe there just isn't an answer. There are so many factors involved: other memory, shared memory, pre-born, abomination, Atreides genes, male vs female memory, etc and so forth. Maybe Frank just never totally explained it?
