The main issue is the weather half the year. If you can handle the rain, wind, and chill then there are still places, especially if you move around fairly often and don't attract undue attention to yourself. That said, I think one could totally seastead farther north. Once you get north of Vancouver on the inside passage there are few people and it's easy to stay under the radar. The same is even more true on the west side of Vancouver Island. Of course it all depends on your idea of an acceptable climate. On the other hand, everyone needs community - so how far away from civilization do you want to be?
