Adrian shifted his weight and laughed in an almost obscene fashion. His black tail snapped at his hocks, and a hind hoof raised to smack the beach-front property compulsively. He rocked from side to side, enthusiastically poking Roxie's neck with his muzzle, as if saying "get a load of this crap". Finally, the auburn's manic laughs faded, and he settled into a calm state of bemusement. He stared at them all, amused.

"Shut up you old hag." Adrian growled at the impudent cat. What was wrong with these creatures? "Something contaminate the water?" He added, glaring at the two simpletons who guarded the other two Lights.

Flipping his head and glancing towards Roxie, he whispered something into her ear: "When push comes to shove, you get the evil horse, I'll get the kitty. But--"

Oh, here comes Hex, on time as usual. The bay turned from the chestnut female so he could adequately face the Light King. "Step off, Hexed." He warned with surprising severity in his voice. Gone was the amusement. "And you.." Coffee dark eyes lingered upon Firelight. "I know perfectly well what you do in your spare time. But it's funny--not funny, more like ironic--that you waste most of it chasing prizes which stand right under your nose."

Adrian took a defiant step back and surveyed the entire group. For some unknown reason, the stallion shook with anger. So this is how it was. Firelight screamed at him for releasing Tori, yet then she turned her back and found refuge in the same Tori she loathed. No, no. That wouldn't do. With a steely glare aimed at Firelight, he spoke only one word in a low hiss: "Heretic."
