I liked the approach rumoured to have been adopted by the great Noel Spohr: if a player started to backchat, he ran up the field, and kept running until the player stopped. And that is where the mark was advanced to. I belive that players learned to stop arguing real quick when the mark was now about 30-40m upfield!
