"Adults" can do slow speed Hardshoe if they enter into a proper age category, instead of competing in a special group based on the age at which they began dancing. I dont think its fair to the kids who start at 13 or 14, when they have to compete with people who started when they were three, but people who started at 18 dont even have to compete against people who started just a few years before them.
Yes, I realize that a 13 and over category is kind of an odd place for a 30 or 40 year old, but there is never goign to be a 21 and over beginner group as long as there is no one competing in that age group. And there is no one in that age group, because people who should be in that group are in "adults."
