Re: As a non-catholic I would say a resounding "No" to that. But, -- Joan, 05:39:01 07/17/07 Tue [1] (ip68-0-253-131.ri.ri.cox.net/68.0.253.131)
I believe that the Catholic Church holds the truth in totality. Other Christian denominations also contain truth, but also some wrong thinking re. the faith and they've rejected some of the truth as well.
Other religions aslo contain truth.
It's impossible to know who will be doomed and who will be rewarded in Heaven. Not being Catholic isn't a guarantee that you (universal you) will be doomed.
I can look it up if anyone is interested, to get the exact wording. As far as I know, the Catholic Church doesn't teach that non-Catholics are doomed.

I didn't really answer the question. :-) -- Joan, 05:42:25 07/17/07 Tue [1] (ip68-0-253-131.ri.ri.cox.net/68.0.253.131)
Yes, I do believe that Catholicism is the one, true Church. As I said before, I believe is is because it contains the whole truth where other denominations reject some of the truth. The difference in belief on the Eucharist is the first thing that comes to mind.

Why do we tend to forget how loving God is? -- Catie, 09:24:45 07/23/07 Mon [1] (h166.243.213.151.ip.alltel.net/151.213.243.166)
We are so quick to judge. Truly, no one is "doomed" who chooses not to be. God's message has always been about Love. His will is for all to come to find a way out of this fine mess we've found ourselves in on this earth. God is not a mean God wanting to zap folks. Yes, we must acknowledge our sins, and repent. We can all ask God to do that, to forgive our sins. I don't believe, from what I read in scriptures, that anyone can work their way to eternal life. It is a gift.
