"I don't know if I would agree with that statement. I think you are pretty attractive." The words were out of her soft lips before she could stop them. She fought her gut reaction of putting her hand over her mouth and running but at the thought she laughed inwardly and smiled at him. She thought it was kinda cute that he had laughed at his own joke and giggled with his slightly stiffled laugh. She looked back over to the three men to see the big man's reaction to Max's response trying to supress her laughter but failing. As Max turned back around she saw the glare on the man's face and watched as he mouthed the words You will come to me to her. She stopped her laughter abruptly and looked down at the table quickly. Wouldn't that guy be suprised to find out that he was trying to hit on a cop? and not just a cop, but an FBI agent? She flipped her hair behind her shoulders and looked back at Max to see him watching her. As she told her story about the men at work she watched his reaction and could tell that he was slightly annoyed with himself for asking and at his apologetic nod and comment she smiled slightly. "Don't worry about it. Its not your fault that all the guys at work want to get in my pants." She shrugged. There was alot more to the story and she did want to tell him, but she wasn't sure if she could trust him with something so personal...it wasn't everyday that a FBI agent was almost raped by a fellow officer. At his next comment about the coffee she smiled. "Oh please kind sure, you are not poor." She laughed. "And please don't worry about paying me back. Like I told you, if after tonight you want to, well,...go out again...you can pay." The waitress brought the other two glasses and set them down before walking away. Midori pulled one to her before pushing the other one towards Max. "Here you are my dear." Lavender eyes glanced towards the table again in time to see the three men hunched over and talking in low tones, every so often looking up at her and Max.
