Date Posted: 06:20:03 12/09/09 Wed In reply to: Lyla 's message, ".:.nobody special.:." on 05:56:35 12/09/09 Wed The instantaneous change in Lyla's posture when she recognized me made me smile slightly, for just a moment. At least she hadn't forgotten. The words spilling from her lips made me think, despite her timidness and submissive behavior with me, that she was stronger than she'd let on in the past. Another pleasing thought. Perhaps my pack was not as weak as i had first thought... Then again... Lyla had said all the others had disappeared... So perhaps my pack consisted of myself and Lyla now. A sigh slid from my lips, and before i spoke, the door behind me was throwing my shadow forward, to be eaten by the flames. I kept my back to the snarled words spoken from the male, and listened curiously to Lyla's quick explanation. I let my breath out through my nose, and inhaled slowly, taking in hte musky aroma of the lynx. Only after Lyla had given her assurance that i meant her no harm to the male, i turned, my shoulder facing hte male, while Lyla stood on my other side. "I give you my word, that if you make no move to try and do my harm, none will come to Lyla." My vice was soft, soothing. Once upon a time, i'd had to deal with this type of angry, nervous energy every day. The fact that i missed it was a bit of a surprise. "Calm yourself lynx." Again, soft soothing voice, though there was a touch of command to it. Mentally, i reached out to Lyla, cautiously blocking my thoughts from Ronon. "I'm not going to convince him I'm not a danger to you, my dear... If you would go to him, he might settle when i'm out of reach."
