Subject: SL RULE UPDATE

Hey Gentlemen,
Mods have had a discussion overnight around the scoring of a game from this weekend.
We've concluded, there is no rule listed to help us enforce any outcome other than giving the points.
Scenario: OXEN named their Ruck (S.Jacobs) and KPF (J.Waterman) in their 22. Both players were listed AFL emg from THUR night.
Mod discussion: Should OXEN be able to replace these two players with his 1st two emgs?
Current relevant rules:1.3: A team may select up to 4 Emergencies. Preferably these players are to be AFL selected players for that weekend. Emergencies are brought into the side in order they are listed.

1.4: ALL 22 players are to be selected by an AFL club for the weekend, unless there is a split round, where the players in the second week, may not end up being selected. In this case emergencies are to replace these players not selected.

Mods would like to get your view before refining the rules above, in case something similar arises in future. We'll take majority rules approach, reply via VOY or email or chat.

Option 1
SL EMG only covers "Late Outs" - They do not replace players named as 'AFL EMG' OR 'Extended Interchange'.
Example: You can name Sam Jacobs in the ruck despite him being named AFL emg for GWS while Mummy is the #1 (hoping for a "Late IN" for him). Given he DNP, you receive a Donut(0) and no SL EMG cover.

Option 2
SL EMG will replace any "Late Outs" or "AFL EMG" who don't end up playing. This means an SL EMG will cover a "0" for any player who was 'named' in the AFL squad for the weekend.
Example: You can name Sam Jacobs in the ruck despite him being named AFL emg for GWS while Mummy is the #1 (hoping for a "Late IN" for him). Given he was named in AFL and DNP, you can now use your 1st emg to cover him.
