o o c // lol, no worries. :)

Ezra somehow hadn't noticed that he had slowly begun dozing off. He fell asleep easily. The only thing that kept him from drifting off completely was the resounding metallic rattle and clang that echoed through the subway at seemingly random intervals. But he'd dismissed those as figments of the imagination. They still got on one's nerves, though. His head tilted lazily to the side and he gave another small sigh, his eyelids closing slowly but flickering open again just the slightest bit every couple of seconds, as if his mind was trying to prevent him from dropping off.

He was abruptly yanked out of his little state of daydream and thrown back into the present. The scent of someone something someone or something had appeared rather suddenly and hit him square between the eyes. His eyes flicked open and he sat upright, his sharp blue eyes glancing around warily through his surroundings. A hand pressed down lightly against the concrete floor as if ready to propel him to his feet should the need arise. There probably was no need for being on his guard, but it had become sort of obvious that this subway wasn't frequented by humans. Not that he was human. Well, not entirely, anyway. Who came here, then? No one? Maybe vampires. Werewolves? Shifters? He was sort of hoping for the latter; he tended to be somewhat cautious of the former two, and happening across one of them on his own in their territory wasn't something he would ever concider doing unless he absolutely had to.

Ezra turned his gaze towards the staircase that lead down into the subway, and his rapidly increasing heart rate missed a beat. It slowed down a bit, though, when he took the time to actually see who or what he was looking at. A small, dainty white vixen... a shifter? He wasn't sure- he wasn't yet that skilled at differentiating between the different species. He mostly guessed. For a moment he simply sat and stared blankly at her. "Oh, uh..." Ezra suddenly felt stupid, for the whole "hellooo echoooe" thing, but he'd been convinced he was the only one there. Apparently not. "... hello. Sorry. I didn't know there was anyone else here." What if this was just an ordinary fox that didn't understand a word he was saying? And if she was a shifter? Was he somewhere he wasn't supposed to be? Wait... that couldn't be, because if she was a shifter, then it was alright for shifters to be here, no? His logic capsized and he decided it was best to stop thinking. His train of thought was just going in circles.

o o c // i might have screwed up- Lyla was in an animal form, right? or was she a human? o.0 sorry, slow morning. xD *hands you a cookie* ^^'
