A seeming tear in the darkening sky over New Isle reveals a young pair, the lanky bronze's naturally greyish hue looking more faded than usual only to the well-trained eye of his Rider, instinct and partnership over the past few years providing the keen eye for signs to oil the day before itching ever would occur. A soft summons, both physically whispered and mentally reaching is given from the Rider as he dismounts from Maeroth's bent knee, and the five multi-hued firelizards seem to spring from various areas around the Perches, all soaring inwards towards R'jari as he removes the heavy wher-hide flying leathers, and dons on an older shirt from a hangar on the stone wall. Moving swiftly towards the availible buckets of dragonic skin-relief, he suddenly turns at an odd chirrup from Cargan, the older brown flit whom his parents had given to him at the age of five. The creel was strangely high pitched for the mature and protective brown. Immediately concerned, R'jari's eyes fall upon the living reflection of the flashing picture the firelizard repeated in his mind.

Maeroth turned away from the wall at the sudden chaos of emotions that fills his rider's mind. His body, though gangly from youth and natural lithe design, stood still as a firm support for his rider. The young man of 18 turns took a small step towards his mother's best friend, green eyes grasping for the two forms that should have stood behind her but didn't.

For a moment R'jari is silent, utter shock still rushing through his body like ice in the veins, until suddenly the soft creel of the youngest firelizard, green Sakina, stirred him back to consciousness, her sharp little teeth tugging at the wherhide strip that held thick red hair back at the nape of his neck. A green gaze holds steady with S'sha's for a long moment, before the bronze rider finally speaks.

"Weyrwoman S'sha, do you know where my mother is?"
