My question about how red are your kids bare bottoms when you are finished spanking them brought to light another interesting aspect of spanking. It seems that some of you also spank the backs of the thighs.

I'm curious, for those of you who do this, is it part of every spanking, or just more serious ones? How far down the backs of the thighs do you go? Just a few inches below the bare sit-spots, or all the way down the entire length of the thighs to the insides of the knees? Be specific about how you do this and what the backs of the thighs look like when you are done. I assume you either use your hand, a spoon, or a hairbrush on the backs of the thighs.

Also, do you notice any difference in the boy or girl's howling when smacking the tender backs of his or her thighs versus their bare bottom?
