First, I know you don't have a lot of time flexibility with your responsibilities at home, but I must agree with the other person who said you need a little time for you somehow.

I have a friend at work, lovely lady...working at age 70! She had hip replacement and her doctor told her if she didn't walk at least three miles every day from now on...the hip would give her difficulty. She does it, day in , day out (often five miles, I'm so ashamed....)and she has abundant energy because of it. The walking + a low fat diet has also helped to keep her trim.

Personally I feel your pain, since I can't even look at food without putting on a pound of fat. I'm fairly physically active through gardening (at least in the summer *LOL*). I have found the only way I can not succumb to temptation is to not have access. If Doug brings in junk food, I will eat it. Control isn't a one of my strong points, at least not as it applies to anything carbohydrate, or dripping in chocolate :( At the first of the year I started walking, put my self on portion control and was doing well. Took off ten pounds, then got lazy and five have crept back. It is a battle, and I think the older one gets the more dedicated you'd have to be.
